Standard vs. Explicit

Dave Lindeman
I'd just like to request that, when posting questions to the group, members identify which code they are using -- ABAQUS/Standard or ABAQUS/Explicit.  There are enough differences between the two codes that answers to particular questions could vary greatly depending on which is being used.  People frequently take the time to answer a question only to have the poster say something like: "that will only work in Standard, and I'm trying to use Explicit".  It's a waste of people's valuable time.  So please, be as specfic as you can.

Regards,

Dave

Ravi:

I didn't mean to pick on you in particular.  You just happened to be the
most recent person to post a question of that sort, and it reminded me that
I'd been meaning to post a request asking that people identify the code they
are using.  So don't worry about it.

Regards,

Dave
