CREEP properties in different part

Abaqus Users mailing list
Hi All,

I'm running a simulation on two parts, and they have different creep properties. I write a CREEP subroutine for these creep models, but I don't know how to assign proper creep property to the right part. Any idea about this?

 Thanks,
 Hao

You should be able to use the variable CMNAME if your two parts have different material assignments.

The material property set name will be passed in through the CMNAME variable.  You can use and IF-THEN-ELSE statement to handle the different materials properly.  Note that the material name will be passed in as all uppercase.

Hi

I am trying  to replicate the analysis performed by Creep subroutine by my own code. Can you guide me which paper or book I have to follow?
Thanks Manish
